What are you passionate about as a therapist?
As a therapist I am passionate about helping the people I work with create lasting, sustainable change within. I am passionate about helping people learn to trust themselves, learn to know their own strengths and weaknesses, and learn how that self awareness can lead them towards the life they desire. I am passionate about creating a space that feels safe, where a person can share their story or experience without the fear of judgement, just acceptance and maybe gentle confrontation from time to time when needed. I am passionate about helping people find peace within themselves.
What do you enjoy about your role at Integrated?
My favorite part about my role at Integrated is seeing the transformation that the students make within themselves. There is often a pivotal moment in our students' journey where they begin to believe in themselves and their own ability to reach their goals and true potential. Once that belief is sparked within, that is often when massive transformation begins to take place. It's so rewarding watching these individuals grow in their confidence, in their ability to communicate in a healthy manner, in their ability to make progress towards their academic or vocational goals, in their ability to experience emotional stability and regulation, and in the ability to have a future that maybe they previously doubted was possible. I also enjoy that my role allows me to bring new, cutting edge therapeutic approaches into the program and connect those resources to our students who might benefit from them.
